This is Topless Bel; a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere that Chad Bangerter has modified more than a little bit. When Chad found her, she had been in Howell's wrecking yard in Ogden for 25 years!! As you can see from the photos below she had a tree growing up through her front bumper and she was in pretty rough shape.
This car is also known as “Fire Lady II.” After Chad sold the original Fire Lady in 2006 he missed the car so much he created this one from the parts car for the original Fire Lady. Topless Bel throws flame from her rear and from the Mansfield’s on her front bumper. The flames are a real crowd pleaser but the flame units are certainly not the only modification he made to this car.
At this point Chad has about 120 hours into her but they must have been really busy hours! He removed her top, enhanced her already substantial fins, straightened her out, added classic ’59 Cadillac bullet tail lights and added the coolest cup holder console you will ever see to her interior.
Be sure to check out Topless Bel if you see her at the shows and if you would like a flame thrower added to your rod be sure to contact Chad at CBRodz!
